Lives can be saved, ecosystems protected, and real change made possible. I have spent more than 25 years inside that work, and I know what it takes to carry it forward. What I offer now is in service of the same mission: supporting the organisations, boards and leaders doing it to do it as well as they possibly can, in ways that are aligned with who they are.

I work as a trusted advisor alongside clients, both as a strategic thinking partner and in a hands-on capacity when implementation support is what is needed.

My way of working is grounded in curiosity, structure, and respect. I invest in understanding the full context, including the strategy, the politics, the people, and the constraints, and then work alongside clients in whatever way is most useful. This may mean shaping strategy, stress-testing options, supporting governance processes, advising on implementation, or helping leaders and teams find clarity and renewed direction.
I hold a both/and perspective: strategy and implementation, ambition and pragmatism, policy and delivery, urgency and reflection. What makes this possible is not just method. It is having been inside these organisations myself, holding senior leadership roles and understanding from the inside what it actually takes to move things forward.
A career in service of impact
My work today is an extension of a career shaped by mission. What drew me to global health, sustainability, and international development was the conviction that this work matters: that lives can be saved, that ecosystems can be protected, that the odds can genuinely be shifted.
Over more than 25 years, I have worked across the globe in these fields, including time living and working in Africa, and have always been deeply committed to the outcomes of this work.
I am no longer on the front line of delivery in the same way. But I remain in service of the same mission, by supporting the organisations and leaders who are. Good strategy, clear thinking, and strong leadership are not soft concerns. In this work, they are the difference between impact and intention.
Rooted in global health, development and sustainability
My advisory and coaching work is grounded in deep, lived experience across more than 25 years in complex organisations, including over a decade in senior leadership. The domains I know best include:

This experience shapes both the advisory and coaching work I do today. It means I understand the pressures leaders in these fields are actually under, the organisational realities they are navigating, and what it genuinely takes to make progress in environments that are rarely straightforward.
